After an impressive opening three races, Red Bull boss Christian Horner has revealed that it is due to the restructuring of the Renault finally paying off.
Red Bull’s Daniil Kvyat finished third at the Chinese Grand Prix, while Daniel Ricciardo finished in three consecutive fourth place finishes.
Yet to implement the upgraded Renault power unit, which is expected to happen before the Canadian Grand Prix, Horner is excited to see what will happen throughout the rest of the season.
“I think that on the power unit side, the guys in Viry done a good job over the winter,” he told Motorsport.com.
“I think their restructuring has started to bear fruit in terms of direction and a clear strategy, so I am sure progress has been made there over the winter.
“But what we are really hopeful of is the next step, the B-spec engine. If it delivers what is being tabled, then that should put us in an even more competitive position.”
