Daniil Kvyat could pay for Red Bull’s Russian Grand Prix “disaster” by being swapped with Max Verstappen, according to reports.
A double collision with Sebastian Vettel on the opening lap cost Kvyat at Red Bull dearly at his home GP, and team chiefs are now understood to be evaluating their options.
The incident, which also affected Daniel Ricciardo, who was hit by Vettel, meant the Milton Keynes-based outfit failed to register a single point, while rivals Ferrari and Williams both finished well.

And following the race, Red Bull advisor Helmut Marko vented his fury.
“Braking too late once and hitting another car would be acceptable in front of his home crowd, but this doesn’t apply for the second crash,” he said.
“It’s a pity because he did not only ruin Vettel’s race and [Daniel] Ricciardo’s race, but also his own race. He had to do an extra stop. It was a day of disaster for Red Bull.”
He added: “Let’s cool down a bit. During the week, we will talk about this.”
It is understood one of the options been considered is to swap Kvyat with Toro Rosso driver Verstappen, either for a single race or possibly for the long term.
However, Red Bull are wary as they have invested heavily in the 22-year-old, who could be given the Spanish Grand Prix to redeem himself before a decision is made.
